First U.S. Appearance of Japan's Innovative 'Zero Wiper' Series at LVCC West Hall Booth #5359

Car Mate, headquartered in Tokyo, Japan, will showcase a concept model of the Zero Wiper Film-Type Side Mirror for the U.S. market at CES 2026 in Las Vegas. This product uses an ultra-water-repellent film that prevents rain from accumulating on side mirrors--even when the vehicle is stationary--and provides clear visibility during heavy rain or snowy conditions.

Ultra-water-repellency is achieved by incorporating a micro-structured surface that creates a lotus-leaf-like effect, causing water droplets to roll off. By adopting a film-type design, the product enhances durability and reduces damage caused by touching, washing, or wiping. This technology, which received positive feedback at the Japan Mobility Show 2023, was launched in Japan in 2024 and has since expanded its lineup.
